The plaintiff in this matter appeared pro se for purposes of the trial and appeal. The plaintiff lost at trial and subsequently appealed the magistrate’s decision to the WCAC, but he failed to provide a legal basis for the appeal. The WCAC held that the magistrate may not represent or assist a plaintiff in the trial portion of the claim including the introduction of evidence. Further, the plaintiff must follow all appellate rules procedures.
