STEVEN C. HIGHFIELD graduated from Michigan State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. While at MSU, Steve worked as a reporter and editor for The State News. Steve then received his Juris Doctor (magna cum laude) from DePaul University College of Law in 2010. While in law school, Steve was an editor on the DePaul Law Review and worked as a law clerk for federal judge Ronald A. Guzman in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Following law school, Steve returned to Michigan and joined Bleakley, Cypher, Parent, Warren & Quinn in August 2010. Steve handles all aspects of workers’ compensation defense, including client counseling, litigation, appellate practice, subrogation, and guest lecturing. Steve accepted a shareholder position with the firm in June 2016.
Steve and his wife Sam live in Grand Rapids with their two sons, Ben and Henry.
